Checkered Squares: By the Black Petaled ManBy the wailing pool of black, sat a table, a table marble white. As white as the fountain pool, as sinister as liquid black. Upon this table white rested a checkered square, a checkered square of red and black to match the roses there. Many a game and many a night were lost atop these checkered squares, found on table marble white next to a pool of liquid black. And as the pool of liquid black sat on fountain of marble white, so did these checkered squares rest dolefully on blood spilled there. Many a man would wager there upon the checkered squares against the man of petal black. And many a many would lose more than he dared on games of checkered squares. What drove sane men to seek him there, he never knew. What stirred the men to wager more than dare and lose a flower there. A flower just discarded upon a checkered dare. Woe to the poor girls, for this isn’t fair, for they dared to not be there, now they shall lay bare. But a clever man, the petal’d man is, for a thought began to brew. He sipped black liquid from fountain pool and sat at the table white. He plucked a rose from beneath and placed her on the table there. But before she started her cries and wails, the man of petals hushed her and said: “Shh, if ye can play with well noted skill, I’ll take your seeds by honeybees and carry them to worlds of men. Back where ye were from and ye will play with men who sent you here and learn of the game.” “But Master, sir” replied the rose “If ye teach the game to me I may come to rue and unmake ye.” “Tis true fine lass, but the same chance lies from me to you.” The rose considered her master’s answer and replied “Teach me”....
A Marriage of ConvenienceA Marriage of ConvenienceThere walking down the street, I alone and beholden to none save myself, I spied, within my mind, a blue-haired rose; her voice and presence sweet. She greeted me with silence, looked upon me with closed eyes and hit me atop the head; thus were we married. That was 15 years ago.I can still hear her laughing at nothing and everything and her voice still makes me smile. I bring her gifts from my adventures and she chews on them with a ravenous hunger reserved for scholars, researchers, and scientists. My horde of books has been visited upon by slender fingers caked in potato chips, yet never have I seen a book displaced or a page stained. My devices, both electric and of purpose meant for drink and smoke have been shared with a young girl whose notion of ‘share’ is to simply grab it, use it, and give it back. Her smiling face is quite possibly the greatest blessing I have ever received; along with the gift of knowing I can illicit such a joy from such a splendid creature. Then she smashes a microscope on one of her staffs head and uses a rack of beakers as bludgeoning objects in an attempt to beat sense into incompetent researchers. It's not their fault, her theories and methods are…unorthodox, hence our unique position. It's not the average Ph.D recipient that can wrap their mind around negative-materials handling or understand the underlying concepts behind our natural ability to differentiate our perspectives to induce lateral thought. And as much as our assistants would love to believe her to be the core form of mother earth, she laughs madly and refers them to me and points out my unique biology and design that allowed for these proceedings in the first place.I suppose in my own imagination I fancy myself a planetary weapon. But it wasn’t my fault that the realization required to achieve totality was so simple that the excess anticipation of ‘work’ was cascaded out of my cultural psyche in the form of Occult and Metaphysical aberrations that even these themselves served a function to explain to the tethered masses what was actually happening in a form that could be culturally understood. To be blunt, in order to work the Earth, I had to get my hands ‘into’ the Earth, and sometimes that earth wasn’t exactly ‘clean’ and free of contaminants or ‘caustic’ materials.I did the best I could to offer explanation while still advancing my own endeavors.I saw no reason why we couldn’t all mutually benefit from the massive apocalyptic cluster-fuck unleashed by my casual handling of Forbidden Esoteric Abyssal materials that only resulted from a night of drinking in poor company.I really hope our future civilization doesn’t prohibit psychics from drinking because of this.I’ll never live it down./sigh. Well at least the research team is perpetually trapped in a field of wonder and awe at all the ‘new’ things they get to study, which my blue-headed wife is apt to continuously point out is actually just studying the ‘same’ ‘old’ thing just under a different light; a new light provided by our marriage; convenient for the science department, no?I wonder if the precept of rotation applies to the cultural human desire to revisit old things, theories, and understandings with either new forms or even the same forms in a different manner. Basically dancing around the same thing until Enlightenment gets unlocked.Whoever defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result is a complete fucking imbecile with understanding of neither physics or insanity. If I’m going to use my intellectual prerogative to make a grandiose statement and expect it to be believe without question because of my superior status its going to be what I just said above this run-on sentence.“Honey, where are the Fritos?”“Dead.”“…”“We have Pop-Tarts and Diet Dr.Pepper though.”“Gimme.”

In my dreams
I dream of you
More often then I care to admit
You excite me and haunt me
I except that I will live like this
Forever having you a part of me
Barging back into my life
When I close my eyes at night
You are my biggest regret
We both failed in our own ways
I blame myself for not being what I promised
For not holding up my end of the deal
My desire to right my wrongs haunts me
To be able to fix this and have the life I wanted
Is something to far gone now, we’re broken
Wounds so deep, knives still buried
My pain and regret keeps you alive
Dancing chest to chest in my dreams
Your brown eyes staring back into mine
Your warmth, the touch of your lips
Some nights the dreams are painful
You breaking my heart over and over
Some nights they are so beautiful
Waking up is the true nightmare
A decade later and you still draw tears
You still have my emotions tangled up
Make me smile and depressed together
Cause me to want to sleep forever and ever
Our paths will cross again and aga

Love's Imprint
I still find myself bleeding over the wound you left me, three years later. Some days you are the dull in my fingertips, others you are my inability to look a man in the eye. But mostly, you are my constant distrust. My body no longer feels set ablaze passing by your house, or hearing your name. But my mind remains bruised, even with years to heal and countless short-lived remedies. I've tried the pills, pot, liquor, and even flimsy lovers, but my friends still manage to say they miss the old me. The me that you took away. And between trying to still recollect the shatters of my heart and mind, I can't seem to find her either. No one told me love would do this to me, no one managed to tell me what happens after. If I knew what I did now, I would of saved whatever remaining sanity I had and left.

Twisted
Twisted
Emotions are mixed in many ways
Thrown in the air and left for dead
Reach up and grab one why not
Get pricked by what you grab and drop it
I don’t know what I want to feel right now
I don’t know if it will hurt or feel good
I don’t want to feel the pain or hurt
I can’t take that feeling anymore
Give me something comforting
Make me feel the warmth and compassion
Not hurt and aggravation that doesn’t stop
Please not the numbness that I have moved from
I want to feel I do it is good
Just not this the not knowing
Knowing when I will be completed and happy
The fulfillment of my emotions and body
I have my entire life to feel
Please don’t make it be full of this feeling
I want to sleep peacefully at night
Not lay awake bogged with sadness and confusion
Take this hurt away and replace it
Fill me with a love and comfort
Replace this emptiness with your love
That I may feel complete in you

So, I used to love this group and it was something that was very exciting to see grow. The people that helped me get it booming have moved on to other things over the years and I myself am crazy busy almost all of the time.
It would be helpful to see someone, anyone, who wants to see this group take off again and has both the time and energy to put into growing this again, shaping, cleaning up, and making this something special.
If you are interested please reach out to me and we can talk.
