Cafe Outlook

Welcome to The Poetry Cafe!

Have you ever found yourself lingering in the realm of dreams as you wake up and engage in the hustle 'n' bustle of everyday life? Find your mind wandering to a world that's full of fantasy and all things that, outside of your subconscious, are seemingly unimaginable? If you'd like to share your fantasy domain and give insight to your dreams, hopes and ambitions, then this is surely the home for you.

This should be a place for fellow deviants to come and share their poetry, get feedback and tips as well as get your work noticed by other writers and poetry lovers!

If you would like feedback on a specific work, please feel free to message to asking for feedback. We would be more then happy to aid you in your writing in anyway possible.

Hold on a second while I dig through my drawer full of computer components.... Ahh, found them. Words... Lets play some poetry poker, but lets do some theme based poetry poker. The idea, is on top of playing some poetry poker you can accomplish another one of the 100 theme challenge at the same time.

So idea is you pick a theme from the 100 theme challenge list. Then you must write a poem around that theme using the five words I deal out.

Each player must write a poem that includes the five words they have been dealt.

Players may not change the core word, i.e "night" to "knight."
Players may exchange one to all five words once per deal. (See below on how to do so)
Words may be altered i.e. "swim"changed to "swimming."

I will be posting five of the words I have drawn today for this month's challenge. As noted each person is allowed to exchange one to all five words from my deal. Player's must message me asking for those words in exchange, at which point I will draw another word from my deck and message you back.

I will keep track of those who have exchanged words for the month. Poem's must contain all five.

The theme is up to you, pick at your own will.

The words:

1. Swear
2. Invincible
3. Out
4. Always
5. Tricks

Lol, I'm just wondering when someone notices me dominating the "100 Theme Challenge" folder xD There are two options:
1. I'm really annoying
2. I'm very impressive
Now I'll just wait and see which one it is. I at least hope I won't be kicked out of the group for writing that many poems :(

I have a small question. I want to Submit some of my work to this Group, but I can't seem to find a Folder that it would fall under. Like, is there one for just regular poetry? Apologies if I overlooked it, but a reply would be very helpful. :)

Sorry Matt and I got caught up in our busy schedules with work and school. I actually been caught up in school for several months now and this is the first time i have been on in several months. I am surprise matt hasnt been on.  Cafe poetry folders are good place to put poems or feature if you feel it is an amazing awesome piece!!!

Oh, that's understandable, no need to apologize. I'm just happy someone finally answered my question. XD

Well, I'm glad that I made the right call to put my poems in the Cafe Folders then. Hmm... I may have one or two poems that I would deem good enough for a place in Feature. :3

Also, I'm happy to be apart of the Group! =D

Hi there~ I was just wondering, can I join straight away by clicking the button, or is there any sort of application process? (I've seen that with other groups before).
